Free PC games every week are offered through Epic Games Store as rotating limited-time giveaways. When you claim an eligible game while it is free, Epic says the license remains in your library after the giveaway period ends.
The featured titles rotate on a schedule, so check the current free-games page before each deadline and confirm the checkout total is $0.

How Free PC Games Every Week Work
Epic Games Store runs recurring giveaways where selected paid games are temporarily available for $0. The current store page says new free-game offers arrive regularly, giving account holders repeated opportunities to add games to their libraries.
The giveaway is different from a free trial. You must claim the game during the promotional window, but the claimed license remains attached to your account afterward.
How to get started
What You Need to Claim Them
You need an Epic Games account and must claim the game while its price is shown as free for the promotion. Some titles may have age, platform, or regional restrictions.
Sign in to the correct account before checking out so the game is added to the library you actually use.
How to Claim a Weekly Giveaway
Open the free-games page, select the current giveaway, review the product page, and complete the $0 checkout before the promotional window ends.
Read the title carefully because alternate editions, bundles, downloadable content, or optional add-ons may still have a price even when the base giveaway is free.
Useful details before you begin
Do You Keep the Games
Epic’s FAQ says that when you claim a free game during its giveaway period, the license remains in your library even after the offer is no longer free to new users.
You do not need to install the game immediately. Claiming it on time is the important step if you want it available to download later.
When the Free Games Change
The current free-games page says new giveaway offers arrive on a recurring weekly schedule. Exact timing, available titles, and regional access can vary.
Check the countdown or end date shown on the live store page so you know how long the current offer remains available.
Check the Price Before Confirming
Make sure the order total is $0 before confirming. Optional add-ons, upgraded editions, or in-game purchases may still cost money.
If the page shows a price when you expected a free offer, verify the deadline and your region rather than completing a paid checkout by mistake.
Free-to-Play Games Are Different
Epic also lists free-to-play titles that are permanently free to start. Weekly giveaway games are separate limited-time promotions that normally must be claimed during the offer period.
Understanding that difference makes it easier to spot which titles require a weekly claim and which can be downloaded for free at any time.
Build a Weekly Check-In Habit
Because the featured titles rotate, a weekly reminder can help you check the page before an offer expires. Claim only the games you want associated with your library.
