1. What the Free Dessert Reward Includes
Great American Cookies currently offers rewards members a choice of one free Cookie Cake Slice or one Small Ice Cream in-store when the offer is active and the required purchase condition is met. The current rewards terms state that the offer requires a $10 minimum in-store purchase.
This benefit appears in two places in the program: as a welcome reward for new members after signup and email verification, and as a birthday reward for eligible members. Because the reward is tied to the account, the live app or account details should be your final reference before redeeming.
2. The $10 Purchase Requirement Matters
This is not a no-purchase-required freebie. The current terms specifically say the free Cookie Cake Slice or Small Ice Cream is valid in-store only with a $10 minimum purchase. That condition should be considered before making a special trip.
If you were already planning to spend at least $10, the reward can still add value to the order. But if your goal is a completely free item with no purchase, this particular offer does not fit that description under the current controlling terms.
3. How the Welcome Reward Works
New members who create a Rewards account and verify their email can currently qualify for the welcome benefit. Great American Cookies also advertises an online $5-off-$20 offer as part of the signup experience, but the free dessert itself is described as an in-store reward.
After signing up, open your account and check for the welcome reward. Make sure the email verification step is complete because the current terms tie eligibility to the verified account.
4. How the Birthday Reward Works
The same free Cookie Cake Slice or Small Ice Cream is also listed as a birthday reward. The current terms say the birthday reward is valid on the birthday shown in the member’s Rewards account and must be redeemed in-store at a participating location.
Because birthday offers can have short redemption windows, check your account on or just before your birthday and review the exact reward language shown there. Enter your birthday accurately when setting up the account so the benefit can be issued correctly.
5. How to Redeem the Reward
When the reward is visible, visit a participating store and make an eligible in-store purchase that meets the $10 minimum. Then redeem the free Cookie Cake Slice or Small Ice Cream according to the app or account instructions.
Menu availability can vary by store, and participating-location restrictions may apply. If you have a strong preference between the Cookie Cake Slice and Small Ice Cream, check the location before going so you know the item is available.
6. Important Rewards Program Details
Great American Cookies and Marble Slab Creamery currently share a combined rewards program. Members can earn points on qualifying purchases and receive additional rewards as they build their balance. The free dessert welcome and birthday offers are separate program benefits with their own conditions.
Rewards terms can change. If the app, website, or in-store system shows a different requirement from an older article or screenshot, follow the current official terms. The $10 minimum purchase language is the condition currently stated on the controlling rewards-terms page.
7. More Birthday and Restaurant Freebies
If you are collecting birthday offers, compare this one with rewards that do not require a purchase. Our birthday freebies guide can help you find other restaurant and dessert rewards to verify.
It also helps to separate true no-purchase freebies from buy-something-get-something rewards. Both can save money, but knowing the requirement in advance makes it easier to decide which offers fit your plans.
8. Final Thoughts on the Free Dessert Reward
The Great American Cookies Rewards program currently offers a free Cookie Cake Slice or Small Ice Cream as both a welcome and birthday benefit, but the reward requires a $10 minimum in-store purchase under the current terms.
Join through the official rewards program, verify your email for the welcome offer, keep your birthday information accurate, and check the live reward before redeeming. Participating stores and program terms can change, so confirm the current details before making a special trip.
