Amazon currently says Prime members can access more than 100 million songs ad-free, along with millions of podcast episodes, playlists, and stations. There is no separate Amazon Music Prime charge when the benefit is included with your active Prime membership.
This is different from Amazon Music Free, which is available without Prime and includes ads, and it is also different from Amazon Music Unlimited, which is a paid music subscription with broader on-demand control, HD and Ultra HD audio, Spatial Audio, and additional premium features.

If you already have an eligible Amazon Prime membership, you can open Amazon Music while signed in with the Amazon account connected to Prime. Amazon says the benefit activates when an eligible member opts in by playing Amazon Music Prime content.
3. What You Get with Amazon Music Prime
The biggest benefit is access to Amazon’s music catalog without advertising between songs. Amazon currently lists more than 100 million songs for Prime members, plus a large catalog of podcasts and thousands of playlists and stations.
Most artists, albums, and playlists outside Amazon’s All-Access selections play in shuffle mode. That means you can request music, but Amazon may mix in related tracks and skip limits can apply. This is important because Amazon Music Prime is not the same as having unrestricted on-demand playback across the entire catalog.
4. Amazon Music Prime All-Access Playlists
Amazon Music Prime includes All-Access Playlists, which are a group of personalized playlists that give members more control. Amazon says Prime listeners receive 15 All-Access Playlists matched to their listening tastes. Songs inside these playlists can be selected and played on demand without the normal skip limits.
Prime members can also download All-Access Playlists in the Amazon Music app for offline listening. Amazon notes that offline downloads with Music Prime are limited to eligible All-Access Playlists rather than every song, album, or playlist in the full catalog.
5. Can You Make Your Own On-Demand Playlist?
Amazon also allows Prime listeners to create an eligible personal All-Access Playlist in the Amazon Music app. Amazon says these playlists can contain 15 to 50 favorite songs and can be played on demand with unlimited skips and offline listening.
You can switch which personal playlist receives All-Access treatment periodically. Amazon currently says a different user-created playlist can be selected every seven days, with limits on how often playlist changes can be made. Features can change, so check the Amazon Music app for the current rules shown on your account.
6. Amazon Music Prime vs. Amazon Music Unlimited
Amazon Music Prime works well for people who already pay for Prime and want an included music option. Amazon Music Unlimited is designed for listeners who want more complete control over exactly what plays. Unlimited adds full on-demand listening throughout the catalog, unlimited skips, broader offline downloads, HD and Ultra HD audio, and Spatial Audio on supported devices and content.
If you do not need those premium audio and playback features, it makes sense to try the Prime-included benefit first before paying for another music subscription.

You need an eligible Prime membership to use Amazon Music Prime. Amazon sometimes offers Prime trials or promotional memberships to eligible customers, but availability, terms, pricing, and trial length can vary by account and location. Review the current details shown by Amazon before signing up.
