How We Check OffersReport an Expired Offer

Free Indiana Road Map is available to download from the Indiana Department of Transportation. The official maps page currently links to a 2026 roadway map that you can view digitally or print yourself.

Offer essentials: This is a free digital map, not a mailed-map offer. INDOT says it stopped printing the annual state roadway map in 2021 and distributed its remaining stock until exhausted. The current map remains available online. Printing uses your own paper and ink or a paid print service; travel expenses are separate.

1. What Is the Free Indiana Road Map?

INDOT maintains an official state roadway map on its maps resource page. The current link is labeled “View or Print a 2026 Indiana Roadway Map,” making it easy to identify the statewide download among the other resources.

This is a road-planning reference rather than a tourism coupon or admission pass. Use it to see the overall road network and compare possible routes, then consult current travel information when you are ready to leave.

2. How to Find the Download

  1. Open the official INDOT maps page using the button above.
  2. Scroll to the Indiana State Map section.
  3. Select the link to view or print the 2026 Indiana Roadway Map.
  4. Open the file in your browser or a suitable PDF viewer.
  5. Save it to your device if you want a copy for later.

The page contains many other map links. Check the label carefully so you download the statewide roadway map rather than a district map, an older railroad map, or a specialist resource.

3. Why This Is a Digital Offer

The official page explains that INDOT and the Indiana Destination Development Corporation decided in 2021 to stop printing the annual state roadway map. Remaining printed copies were distributed until the supply ran out.

INDOT continues updating the online map, so the current resource is useful even though the older paper-distribution program has ended. We do not promise a free printed copy by mail or direct readers to an old request process that may no longer be available.

4. Save a Copy Before Your Trip

Download the file while you have a reliable connection and check that it opens on the device you will carry. A browser tab that has loaded once is not the same as a saved file you can easily find later.

Give your saved copy a clear name and keep it with your other trip information. Zoom in to read small labels and use a larger screen when comparing several towns or routes with a travel companion.

5. Printing Your Own Map

If you prefer paper, review the file dimensions and print preview before printing. A large state map may become hard to read when scaled down to one small sheet.

The download is free, but printing is your responsibility. Home printing uses supplies, while a print shop may charge for larger output. Consider whether a digital copy or a few relevant printed sections will meet your needs before paying for a full-size print.

6. Explore the Other Official Map Resources

The same INDOT page provides district and subdistrict maps, an aeronautical chart, a railroad map, and other transportation resources. Those are separate from the statewide roadway map and serve different purposes.

Read each resource’s title and date before using it. Do not assume every map on the page is the current year’s edition. Choose the tool that fits your question, whether you want a statewide overview or information about a smaller area.

7. Check Current Conditions Separately

A roadway map shows the overall network but should not be treated as a live traffic or closure feed. Check current INDOT travel information and your navigation tools for construction, restrictions, and other conditions affecting your route.

Allow time for breaks and avoid packing too many stops into one day. The free map can help you plan, but transportation, food, parking, accommodation, and attraction costs remain separate expenses.

8. More Free Maps and Travel Guides

Browse our Free Maps and Travel Guides roundup for other destinations. Check each listing’s format, since some resources are mailed publications and others are digital downloads like this one.

INDOT provides and maintains the map directly. I Love Freebies does not mail printed copies or control the file’s availability. Return to the official page when you need an updated edition.

Save the current Indiana map, choose a route that fits your plans, and check live conditions before traveling. Enjoy having a useful statewide reference without needing a mailed copy.
