1. Get a Free Magnetic Bumper Sticker
The Historical Marker Database currently offers a free 10×3 magnetic bumper sticker to visitors who request one.
The offer appears directly on the organization’s homepage and says the sticker will be mailed free of charge. There is no purchase requirement listed with the offer.
Unlike an ordinary adhesive decal, this is described as a magnetic bumper sticker, which makes it easy to place on a compatible metal vehicle surface and remove or reposition later.
If you enjoy historical sites, road trips, or collecting unusual promotional stickers, this is a fun physical freebie to request.
2. What Is the Historical Marker Database?
The Historical Marker Database, also known as HMdb.org, is an online database documenting historical markers, monuments, memorials, and other public-history locations.
The site allows visitors to search for markers by location, topic, region, series, or other criteria. It also includes a Near Me feature for discovering historical markers in the surrounding area.
The database contains information about local, national, and global history and continues adding new marker entries.
The free bumper sticker helps promote awareness of the project and may appeal to travelers, history enthusiasts, genealogists, teachers, and people who enjoy exploring roadside historical sites.
3. How to Request the Free Sticker
Use the button above to visit the Historical Marker Database homepage.
Look for the free bumper sticker notice and select the link to email the publisher.
In your email, include your postal mailing address so the organization knows where to send the sticker.
The first-party instructions do not list a special coupon code, purchase, donation, or online checkout process. The request is handled directly by email.
Make sure your mailing address is complete and accurate before sending the message, including your street address, city, state, and ZIP code.
4. What Size Is the Free Bumper Sticker?
The Historical Marker Database currently describes the free item as a 10×3 magnetic bumper sticker.
That size is large enough to be easily visible on a vehicle while still fitting comfortably on many common magnetic surfaces.
Because it is magnetic rather than a permanent adhesive decal, it may be easier to remove when washing a vehicle, changing cars, or repositioning the sticker.
As with any magnetic vehicle item, make sure the surface is clean before attaching it and confirm that the panel is actually magnetic. Some newer vehicle body panels may be made from aluminum, fiberglass, plastic, or other nonmagnetic materials.
5. Is a Purchase Required?
No purchase requirement is listed with the current bumper sticker offer.
The Historical Marker Database says it will mail the magnetic bumper sticker free of charge and simply instructs visitors to email the publisher with a postal mailing address.
You are not directed to buy merchandise, join a paid membership, submit a receipt, or make a donation before requesting the sticker.
This makes the offer different from gift-with-purchase promotions or rebate offers that require an initial transaction.
Promotional terms can change, so review the live page before sending your request to confirm the free offer is still being displayed.
6. How Long Is the Offer Available?
The current Historical Marker Database page does not provide a fixed expiration date for the free bumper sticker offer.
That means the freebie should be treated as available while the organization continues displaying the offer and fulfilling requests.
Physical promotional items can end if supplies run out, mailing costs change, or the organization replaces the design with something else.
If the free bumper sticker notice is still visible when you visit the website, that is the best indication that requests are currently being accepted.
Since there is no stated end date, requesting the sticker sooner is safer than waiting.
7. Is This a True Freebie?
Yes. Based on the current first-party offer, this qualifies as a true freebie.
The Historical Marker Database explicitly states that the 10×3 magnetic bumper sticker is mailed free of charge.
There is no purchase requirement listed and no paid membership is required for the sticker request described on the homepage.
This fits well within the Free Stickers & Promotional Items and Freebies by Mail categories because it is a physical promotional item that can be requested directly.
The page does not state a geographic restriction, but fulfillment is always subject to the organization’s current mailing practices and available supply.
8. Final Thoughts
This free magnetic bumper sticker is a fun find for history fans, road-trip enthusiasts, and anyone who enjoys collecting unusual promotional stickers.
The request process is especially simple: visit the Historical Marker Database, use the publisher email link, and provide your postal mailing address.
Because the sticker is magnetic, it can also be easier to remove and reposition than a traditional adhesive bumper sticker.
There is no fixed expiration date listed, so check the live website and send your request while the free sticker notice is still available.
