1. What the Famous Footwear Birthday Reward Includes
Eligible STAR members currently receive $5 in Birthday Reward Cash during their birthday month. SUPERSTAR members, which is the higher loyalty tier, can receive $10 in Birthday Reward Cash under the current program.
This post focuses on the free STAR membership benefit. Reward Cash can be useful toward an eligible purchase, but exclusions and program rules still apply.
2. How to Join the Free Rewards Program
Famously YOU Rewards is free to join. Create an account, provide the required profile details, and include your birthday so the program can determine birthday eligibility.
Members also earn points on qualifying purchases and can receive other program benefits. You do not need to reach SUPERSTAR status to have a birthday reward, but the value is different by tier.
3. The Important 12-Month Activity Requirement
Famous Footwear’s current terms say a member must have made a transaction in the past 12 months to be eligible for Birthday Reward Cash. Having a rewards account alone is not enough if there has been no qualifying activity during that period.
If you plan to use this birthday benefit, review your account history before your birthday month so you understand whether the current eligibility rule has been met.
4. When the Birthday Reward Is Available
The birthday Reward Cash is valid during the member’s birthday month under the current terms. Birthday information is required, so make sure the date stored in your profile is accurate.
Log in at the beginning of your birthday month and check your available rewards. Do not rely on an old email or screenshot because reward values and program terms can be updated.
5. How to Use the Reward Cash
Birthday Reward Cash can be used by the member to whom it was issued on eligible Famous Footwear purchases. It is not the same as cash and cannot be converted into cash or used to buy gift cards.
Sign in to your account online, use the Famous Footwear app, or ask for help in-store when applying an available reward. Review the final total before completing the purchase.
6. STAR vs. SUPERSTAR Birthday Benefits
The standard STAR birthday reward is currently $5, while eligible SUPERSTAR members receive $10. SUPERSTAR status requires the program’s higher annual spending threshold and is not necessary for the basic STAR birthday reward.
If your tier changes before your birthday, check the account to see which reward applies. The live rewards page is the best place to confirm current tier benefits.
7. Add Retail Rewards to Your Birthday Plan
Birthday freebies are not limited to restaurants. Retail reward cash can help reduce the cost of something you were already planning to buy. Our Best Birthday Freebies in 2026 guide includes a mix of food, drink, beauty, entertainment, and retail ideas.
The most useful strategy is to join programs you genuinely use and meet any activity requirement naturally rather than making unnecessary purchases only to chase a small reward.
8. Final Thoughts on This Birthday Reward
The Famous Footwear birthday reward can provide $5 in Reward Cash to eligible STAR members during their birthday month. The key condition is having a qualifying transaction within the previous 12 months.
